Cage Crusher

The first choice for impact crushing solutions

Cage Crusher

Cage Crusher Overview

Cage crushers work on the principle of impact crushing. The high speed rotation of the cage bars ensures thorough internal crushing of the material. The Cage Crusher is particularly suitable for the fine crushing of compound fertilisers, as it not only reduces the size of the material effectively, but also plays a key role in the mixing and homogenisation process. The machine is particularly suitable for brittle and lumpy materials, especially those with a moisture content of less than 6%.

Features and Advantages of Cage Crusher

Features and Advantages

High crushing efficiency

The cage crusher uses high-speed rotating cage crushing rods to impact and rub the material, quickly crushing organic fertilizer material to the required fineness.

Uniform particle size

The size of the crushed material is more uniform. During the organic fertilizer granulation process, uniform particle size can achieve better granulation results and improve product quality.

Good wear resistance

The use of wear-resistant materials for key components such as cage bars, hammers and liners results in a sturdy structure and a long service life, reducing maintenance and replacement costs.

Mixing function

Mixes and pulverises various materials during the shredding process, making the mixing of different materials more even and helping to improve the quality and effectiveness of organic fertilizers.

Simple structure

The relatively simple design makes it easy to operate and maintain, suitable for use in small and medium-sized enterprises, and can reduce the cost of equipment maintenance for the enterprise.

Wide range of applications

In addition to organic materials, it can also be used to crush other moderately hard materials, such as compound fertilizer granules, industrial furnace slag, dry clay, shale, medium-hard coal gangue, etc.

Working Principle of Cage Crusher

Working Principle

The crawler compost turner is powered by a diesel engine. Part of the power drives the compost turning drum to rotate through the reduction belt pulley, and the other part of the power controls the lifting and lowering of the compost turning drum through the hydraulic circuit system composed of a hydraulic pump. The equipment rides on the compost, and the compost turning drum rotates. Its spiral belt and teeth mix the materials evenly and fully contact them with the air, accelerating the aerobic fermentation of microorganisms.

Cage Crusher Application Scenarios

Application Scenarios

Organic fertilizer production

In organic fertilizer production enterprises, cage crushers can handle a variety of organic materials, such as livestock and poultry manure, crop straw, and digestate. These raw materials are crushed to a suitable particle size.

Compound fertiliser production

The cage crusher can be used to crush basic fertiliser raw materials such as urea, ammonium phosphate and muriate of potash. Precise crushing results in the ideal particle size for each raw material.

Waste treatment plant

In the waste treatment plant, the cage crusher can process the organic waste fraction. For example, kitchen waste, garden waste, etc., can be crushed for composting or further processing.

Biomass power plant

The cage mill can crush biomass raw materials such as wood chips, rice husks and sugarcane bagasse. The crushed material is easier to burn, which improves combustion efficiency and ensures a stable energy supply.

Feed processing industry

Cage mills can handle some coarse feedstuffs, such as straw and vines. They are crushed to a suitable size, which facilitates mixing with other nutrients to produce a nutritionally balanced feed.

Soil improvement project

The cage crusher can crush some raw materials for organic improvers, such as peat soil and leaf mould. The crushed materials can be mixed more evenly with the soil, improving the soil structure and increasing soil fertility.

Cage Crusher Buying Guide

Buying Guide

Determine the production scale

If the production scale is small, a small cage crusher is sufficient. If large quantities of material need to be processed every day, a large, high-capacity machine is required.

Consider material characteristics

Pay attention to the hardness, moisture content and particle size of the material. For materials with widely varying particle sizes, ensure that the crusher is well-adapted.

Examine the crushing effect

You need to understand the particle size range and uniformity of the equipment. Check the structural parameters of the equipment, such as the influence of cage bar spacing and rotational speed on particle size.

Focus on equipment quality

The materials of key components (such as the cage brake lever and spindle) should be made of high-strength, wear-resistant materials. A high-quality appliance will have fewer faults and a longer lifespan.

Emphasis on ease of maintenance

The cost and convenience of wearing part replacement is important. Wearing parts such as cage brake levers and linings should be easy to remove and install.

Consider safety

Safety protection devices are essential, such as motor guards and emergency stop buttons, to ensure the safety of operators

Cage Crusher

Frequently Asked Questions.

The cage crusher is mainly suitable for low to medium hardness materials. For materials with high hardness, it may cause excessive wear or even damage to the equipment, affecting the service life and crushing effect. It is not recommended for use.

Yes. If you have special production requirements, such as unique material handling needs, specific particle size requirements, special installation space constraints, etc., we can provide customised services to design a cage crusher that meets your needs.

The particle size varies depending on the model of the machine, the distance between the cage bars, the rotational speed and other factors. We can provide the particle size range parameters for different models of machines. At the same time, some machines can be adjusted in some way to change the particle size to a certain extent to meet your specific production requirements.

Routine maintenance includes regularly checking the wear of wearing parts such as cage bars, hammers and liners, and replacing them in time; cleaning the inside of the appliance to remove any remaining food; checking the lubrication of the drive parts and adding lubricant; and paying attention to the fastening of the appliance to prevent parts from becoming loose.

Some small cage crushers can be designed to be mobile, which is convenient for use in different locations or temporary operations. Large equipment is generally fixed, but if you have mobility needs, we can discuss the possibility of a customised mobile solution.
