Cyclone Dust Collector
Cost-effective and simple solutions for dust removal

Cyclone Dust Collector Overview
The cyclone dust collector is a mechanical dust collector designed according to the centrifugal separation principle. It uses the centrifugal force generated when the airflow rotates to separate the dust particles from the air, thus realising gas-solid separation. It has a simple structure and low cost, and is a commonly used primary dust removal equipment in industry.

Main Components of Cyclone Dust Collector
Main Components
Air Inlet
Dust-containing gas enters the cylinder from the tangential direction, and the unique design enhances the rotational effect of the airflow, which helps to improve the efficiency of dust separation.
Cylinder
Consisting of a cylinder and a cone, it provides a rotating space for dust separation and separates the dust from the gas stream by centrifugal force.
Dust collection box
Located at the bottom of the unit, it collects the separated dust particles and ensures that the dust does not re-enter the airflow.
Exhaust port
Located at the top of the machine, it is used to exhaust the clean air after rotation, completing the air purification process after dust removal.

Working Principle of Cyclone Dust Collector
Working Principle
The cyclone dust collector uses centrifugal force to remove dust. After the dust-laden gas enters the dust collector tangentially from the air inlet pipe, it forms an outward cyclone flow along the dust collector wall from top to bottom. Dust particles are thrown toward the wall of the dust collector by the centrifugal force, and after losing inertia, they fall along the wall to the ash hopper. After the airflow reaches the lower end of the cone, it becomes an inward cyclone flow and is discharged from the exhaust pipe from bottom to top, achieving gas-solid separation.
Cyclone Dust Collector Application Scenarios
Application Scenarios
Wood processing
Removing dust from wood pellet and wood flour production keeps the workshop clean, improves product quality and reduces the risk of dust-induced safety hazards.
Agriculture
Removes dust formed during the processing of feed pellets and organic fertilisers, ensuring product quality and reducing damage to production line equipment due to dust build-up.
Industrial Boiler
Used to remove high temperature dust generated by boiler combustion, reduce the concentration of flue gas particles, reduce environmental pollution, while protecting subsequent equipment and improving the reliability of system operation.
Building materials industry
Separates cement, lime and gravel dust generated during production, improves the production environment, protects equipment and workers' health, and enhances the efficiency and quality of downstream processes.
Metallurgical Industry
Removes flue gas particles from smelting furnaces and metal working processes, reducing atmospheric pollution and extending the service life of subsequent de-dusting equipment.
Chemical industry
Used to treat dust generated during the transport, mixing or reaction of chemical raw materials, ensuring a clean workshop environment while protecting employee health and reducing the risk of accidents.

Frequently Asked Questions.
The cyclone dust collector is particularly suitable for handling large particles and coarse dusts such as cement, lime, coal dust and wood chips. It is more effective for particles over 5 microns, but has limited effect on fine particle dusts (e.g. less than 5 microns).
The dust removal efficiency of a cyclone dust collector is usually between 85% and 95%, and it is mainly used for the separation of coarse particle dust. For fine particles, the efficiency is relatively low, but can still be effective in reducing dust concentrations in some applications.
Although cyclone dust collectors are simple in design and have no complex mechanical components, regular inspection of the inside of the unit, the dust collection box and the air inlet is necessary to ensure proper operation. Cleaning up dust accumulation and checking for smooth airflow are part of maintenance.
Cyclone dust collector is widely used in metallurgy, building materials, cement, chemical industry, electric power, wood processing and other industries, especially suitable for handling high concentration and large particle dust. It is often used as pre-treatment equipment with other dust removal equipment.
Cyclone dust collector has low energy consumption, mainly relying on the rotation of the airflow to separate dust, reducing the complex mechanical devices in the traditional dust removal equipment, reducing the overall energy consumption, the operating cost is relatively low.
