Sawdust Briquetting Machine
High-Efficiency Carbon Rod Pressing Equipment
Sawdust Briquetting Machine Overview
Sawdust briquetting machine is a special equipment used to compress sawdust, wood shavings and other biomass into dense carbon rods for charcoal production. The equipment adopts high-pressure molding mechanism to compress loose sawdust briquettes (carbon rods) into uniform and high-strength ones, which are ideal for the subsequent carbonization process.

Features and Advantages of Sawdust Briquetting Machine
Features and Advantages
High pressing strength
The equipment can produce carbon rods with a density of up to 800-1100 kg/m³, ensuring low breakage rate and high calorific value of carbon rods during carbonization.
Adjustable carbon rod diameter
By replacing the mold, the carbon rod diameter (30-100 mm) and length (100-300 mm) can be customized to meet different carbon rod production needs.
Low power consumption
The optimized mechanical design reduces energy consumption by 35% compared with traditional pressing machines, and the electrical efficiency per ton of carbon balls can reach 5-7 kWh.
High production capacity
300-500 kg of carbon rods can be produced per hour, suitable for small carbon workshops and large industrial production lines.
Technical Parameters of Sawdust Briquetting Machine
Main Technical Parameters
| Modle | Main Motor(kw) | Capacity (t/h) | Rod Diameter (mm) | Feed size (mm) | Moisture Content |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HXSB-300 | 15 | 220-300 | 30-60 | ≤5mm | ≤ 12 |
| HXSB-600 | 18.5 | 300-400 | 60-80 | ≤5mm | ≤ 12 |
| HXSB-1000 | 22 | 400-500 | 80-100 | ≤5mm | ≤ 12 |
Working Principle of Sawdust Briquetting Machine
Working Principle
- Feed Preparation: Sawdust is pre-dried to ≤ 12% moisture and screened to ≤5mm particle size.
- Feeding: Prepped sawdust is fed into the hopper and conveyed to the pressing chamber by a screw feeder.
- High-Pressure Forming: The motor drives the pressing shaft to exert vertical pressure on the sawdust, forcing it through the mold. The high pressure compresses the sawdust into dense carbon rods.
- Ejection & Cutting: Formed rods are ejected by a hydraulic piston and cut to uniform length by a rotating blade.
- Discharge: Cut carbon rods are conveyed out for air-drying before carbonization.
