Vertical Charcoal Making Machine
Efficient Wood and Sawdust Briquette Carbonization Equipment
Vertical Charcoal Making Machine Overview
The vertical carbonization machine (Hoisting Type) is a specialized high-efficiency equipment designed for carbonizing wood logs, sawdust briquettes, and biomass materials into premium charcoal. Featuring a vertical structure with an integrated hoisting system, it streamlines loading, unloading, and carbonization processes through automated lifting, eliminating manual material handling. Using oxygen-limited pyrolysis technology, it converts raw materials into high-carbon charcoal。

Features and Advantages of Hoisting Carbonization Machine
Features and Advantages
Automated Material Handling
Equipped with an electric hoist and lifting frame, it effortlessly loads/unloads materials (500–2000 kg per batch), reducing labor costs by 60% compared to manual feeding.
Uniform Vertical Heating
360° circumferential heating from 300–800℃ ensures consistent pyrolysis, with charcoal yield 15% higher than horizontal furnaces.
Short Processing Cycle
A single batch completes carbonization in 8–15 hours (depending on material), supporting 2–3 batches daily for continuous production.
Waste Heat Recycling
Flue gas heat is reused to preheat raw materials, cutting fuel consumption by 30%. Compatible with biomass briquettes, natural gas, or coal.
Pollution Control
Integrated tar recovery and gas purification systems reduce harmful emissions to ≤50 mg/m³, meeting EU and EPA environmental standards.
PLC Control System
carbonization time, with remote monitoring capability to minimize operational errors.

Working Principle of Vertical Charcoal Making Machine
Working Principle
- Hoisting & Loading: Raw materials (wood logs or sawdust briquettes) are placed in a material basket, lifted by the hoist, and fed into the furnace through the top sealed door.
- Sealed Carbonization: The carbonization machine is heated to 300–800℃ under oxygen-limited conditions. Volatile gases (methane, hydrogen) released during pyrolysis are recycled as auxiliary fuel.
- Cooling & Unloading: After carbonization, the carbonization machine cools to ≤50℃. The hoist lowers the material basket, and finished charcoal is discharged without manual contact.
- By-Product Recovery: Tar and wood vinegar are collected through the purification system, usable as biofuel or chemical raw materials.
Application Scenarios of Vertical Charcoal achine
Application Scenarios
Charcoal Production
Convert sawdust briquettes into high-calorific value (6,000–7,500 kcal/kg) charcoal for use in barbecuing, industrial heating, or metallurgy.
Biomass Energy
Processes wood waste into biochar, enhancing soil fertility and carbon sequestration in agriculture.
Waste Recycling
Carbonizes agricultural residues (rice husks, coconut shells) into value-added charcoal, reducing landfill waste.
Successful Cases of Vertical Carbonization Machine
Successful Cases
Charcoal Plant in Thailand
Using HXVC-H1000, the plant produces 2 tons of charcoal daily with 3 workers (previously 8), cutting labor costs by $4,000/month. Charcoal purity reaches 92%.
Forestry Cooperative in Brazil
The hoisting carbonization machine processes 1.5 tons of wood waste daily, generating $8,000/month from charcoal sales while reducing waste disposal fees.
Agricultural Enterprise in Kenya
Using the HXVC-H1000 to convert pruned branches from orchards into biochar, which is used as a carbon-based fertilizer for the orchards, has increased yields by 20%.
Frequently Asked Questions.
Materials must be pre-dried to ≤15% moisture. High humidity prolongs carbonization and lowers charcoal quality。
Control temperature: 300–500℃ for soft, fast-igniting charcoal; 600–800℃ for hard, high-density charcoal (suitable for industrial use).
Yes. The hoist features overload protection and emergency stop functions, with a safety factor of 3x the rated load, complying with ISO 10535 standards.
Yes. The HXVC-H2000 accepts logs up to 80cm in length and 30cm in diameter, with a customizable basket size for specific materials.
Yes. We offer larger hoist capacities, automatic feeding lines, and solar-assisted heating systems to meet unique production needs.
